Nixie tubes have changed my life.
Ever since discovering nixies and trying my hand at building nixie projects, I have grown as an engineer and met amazing people with the same interests. I think their influence is quite obvious just from browsing this site!
In honor of the nixie tube, I wanted to make a video which combines lots of different information into a single watch. This includes some history leading to the development of the nixie tube as we know it, how nixies work, the different types and styles of nixies, and what its like to get started in the hobby today. After several years of being a part of the modern nixie hobby community, I certainly would have benefitted from such a video when I began my nixie journey.
