Another video. This one is a teardown/repair attempt of a Agilent/Keysight U8903A Audio Analyzer. This instrument was sent to Keysight to repair physical damage, when it was also discovered that the analyzer portion of the instrument was not working properly.
In this video, we take a look at the measurement report and replicate the error on the bench. We also examine the instrument at a closer level and make measurements to begin diagnosing where the problem could be. We then replace several key components in the audio analyzer signal path, but are ultimately unable to resolve the issue with these initial repair attempts.
We conclude with some remarks on how the repair could be continued with the proper resources. If there is a possibility for further repairs to be made, a follow up video will be posted.
